EUR is aan het bezuinigen terwijl ze beloftes maken voor nieuwe samenwerkingen met het ministerie van defensie. Daarbovenop behouden ze hun samenwerkingen met zionistische en neokoloniale instituties! Op dit punt in geschiedenis ervaren wij een wooning, klimaat, fascisme, armoede en gezondsheid krisis en tegelijkertijd worden gezondheidszorg, onderwijs en cultuur beroofd om meer publiek geld te kunnen investeren in de wapenindustrie!

Nederland maakt nieuwe handelingen met oorlog zoekers bij nato en met het zogenoemde “israel” en beloofd om €37 miljard extra uitgeven aan militarisatie, wat gebruikt zal voor om genocides en imperialistisch geweld te bewapenen over de hele wereld!

Ons onderwijs is onder aanval!

De onderwijsbezuinigingen zijn niet FINANCIEEL maar ideologisch geaard. Deze fascistische overheid valt kritische stemmen en onderdrukte mensen aan door het bezuinigen van het onderwijs en openbare diensten zoals de gezondheidszorg en het openbaar vervoer!

WIJ EISEN DAT:
Het college van bestuur (CvB) eerlijk verdeeld over haar afdelingen en andere instituties
Het CvB stop zet tot de precarisatie van alle (internationale) personeel en studenten, en zich voorspreekt voor het vervallen van de studieschuld.
Het CvB de ontoegankelijkheid van het campus stopt.
Het CvB alle banden met zionistische instituties en bedrijven breekt.
Het CvB alle banden met andere imperialistische en (neo)koloniale instituties en bedrijven breekt.
Het CvB alle banden met instituties en bedrijven die winst maken van de vernietiging van de aarde breekt

EUR is cutting budget while they make promises for new collaborations with the dutch defence ministry. On top of that, EUR maintains their current collaborations with zionist and neocolonial institutions! We are at a junction of history where we are experiencing a housing, climate, fascism, poverty and health crisis and at the same time, healthcare, education, culture and public services are being looted so that more public funds can be invested into the arms industry!

The netherlands makes new deals with warmongers at NATO and so-called “israel” and promises to spend additional €37 billion on militarisation, which will fund genocides and imperialist violence in Palestine and around the world!

This shift towards defuding academia is not FINANCIALLY, but ideologically motivated. This fascist government attacks critical voices and marginalised people in society by defunding academia and public services like health care and transportation!

We demand:
• the College van Bestuur (CvB) to fairly distribute their
budget across its departments and other affiliated
institutions!
• the CvB to end precarization for (international) staff and
students and advocate for the cancellation and full
compensation of student debt!
• the CvB to end inaccessibility on campus!
• the CvB to cut ties with all zionist institutions and
businesses!
• the CvB to cut ties with all other imperial and (neo)colonial
institutions and businesses!
• the CvB to cut ties with all institutions and businesses that
profit from the destruction of our planet!
• the CvB to call on their academic partner to do the same!

The CVB instead of refusing to enforce the artifical budget cuts, specifically and deliberatly scrapes and defunds:

• entire international study programmes (International psychology
bachelor)
• sustainable, intersectional and scientific projects (climate building
school, ErasmusX and RSM inclusion project, cell biology departement
at EMC)
• study spaces and student housing (Buildings F, G, Q, N and V)
•services at EUR of all sorts diminished (sports facilities and canteens,
the meditation room, well-being staff)!

As concerned students we need to stand up and fight back. We are planning an action at the beginning of the second week of May against the budget cuts in education and the militarization of academia! We want educational institutions like EUR to cut ties with destructive and imperial institutions instead of our budget! Dutch universities are supporting the genocide in Palestine through their collaborations with Israeli universities. Theses genocidal entities collaborate with the IOF, discriminate and expel their own Palestinian students and staff and collaborate in military projects targeting Palestinians. EUR also has ties to companies like Maersk and Sheba Medical center! Logistics companies like Maersk ship military equipment to the Zionist entity! Sheba Medical center is complicit in enforcing discriminatory policies against Palestinian patients!

EUR has a long history of supporting imperial and genocidal companies like:

• the fossil fuel company Shell (supplying oil to Israel, killing and
displacing Indigenous population in Nigeria and destroying their
environment and financing RSM research for propaganda purposes)
• ING (providing loans for illegal settlements)
• Rabobank (providing loans for illegal settlements)
• Nestle (major stakeholder of Israeli company operating in occupied
Palestine)
• Google (cloud services aiding Zionist genocide and apartheid against Palestinians)
• KPN (sponsoring the NEDS Arms fair 2024).

OCCUPY EUR! CUT TIES, NOT BUDGET!

In plaats van te weigeren de kunstmatige bezuinigingen door te voeren, schrapt en ontfinanciert het CVB doelbewust:

- hele internationale opleidingen (Internationale psychologie
bachelor)
- duurzame, intersectionele en wetenschappelijke projecten (klimaatgebouw
school, ErasmusX en RSM inclusieproject, afdeling celbiologie
bij EMC)
- studieruimtes en studentenhuisvesting (gebouwen F, G, Q, N en V)
-allerlei diensten bij EUR verminderd (sportfaciliteiten en kantines,
de meditatieruimte, welzijnsmedewerkers)!

Als bezorgde studenten moeten we opstaan en terugvechten. We plannen een actie aan het begin van de tweede week van mei tegen de bezuinigingen in het onderwijs en de militarisering van de academische wereld! We willen dat onderwijsinstellingen zoals de EUR banden verbreken met destructieve en imperiale instellingen in plaats van ons budget! Nederlandse universiteiten steunen de genocide in Palestina door hun samenwerking met Israëlische universiteiten. Deze genocidale entiteiten werken samen met het IOF, discrimineren en verdrijven hun eigen Palestijnse studenten en personeel en werken mee aan militaire projecten die gericht zijn op Palestijnen. EUR heeft ook banden met bedrijven als Maersk en Sheba Medical Center! Logistieke bedrijven zoals Maersk verschepen militaire uitrusting naar de Zionistische entiteit! Het Sheba Medisch Centrum is medeplichtig aan het handhaven van discriminerend beleid tegen Palestijnse patiënten!

EUR heeft een lange geschiedenis van het steunen van imperiale en genocidale bedrijven zoals:

- het fossiele brandstofbedrijf Shell (dat olie levert aan Israël, de inheemse bevolking in Nigeria doodt en
doden en verplaatsen van de inheemse bevolking in Nigeria en het vernietigen van hun
milieu en het financieren van RSM-onderzoek voor propagandadoeleinden)
- ING (verstrekt leningen voor illegale nederzettingen)
- Rabobank (verstrekt leningen voor illegale nederzettingen)
- Nestle (grote aandeelhouder van Israëlisch bedrijf dat actief is in bezet Palestina)
